What will you be doing at MBRF?
- Prepare samples as per test methods with appropriate identification and register samples in laboratory management system.
- Execute chemical laboratorial analysis for finished products, raw materials, ingredients, water, cleaning chemicals as per sampling plan
- Enter analysis results in sample record sheet and laboratory data entry system. Keep traceability records, execute control records.
- Preparation of reagent chemicals and record the details with appropriate labels.
- Calibrate equipment’s prior daily activities, or whenever necessary, for specific equipment.
- Preparation of requests to reserve materials from the store.
- Check integrity of equipment and maintain the preventive maintenance records.
- Encode results and elaborate Lab reports.
- Promote validation processes and issuance of procedures for technical and operational training.
- Monitor and record the daily activities in the laboratory and update the check lists.
- Create maintenance services notifications.
- Prepare and standardize reagents and solutions for analysis and maintains the records.
- Provide technical support to production, quality assurance, R&D by providing analysis results with result interpretation.
- Describe, update lab procedures and create applicable forms.
- Follow up the analysis, evaluate results and establish standards and nutritional table if required.
- Maintain the cleanliness of laboratory and comply with company’s 5S principles.
- Maintain chemical inventory and provide monthly and quarterly reports to concerned teams.
- Implement and update the laboratory system based on ISO 17025 requirements if required
- Assist in the activities by developing new methodologies and searching new technologies, improvements if needed.
- Develop practical skills for other methodologies (including other areas of the lab)
- Receive samples ensuring the appropriate conditions upon receiving,
- Check received external reports in accordance with the applicable standards
- Update dry ingredients analysis status in HOI file after successful analysis and updating in LIMS
- Responsible for Ingredient supplier COA
- Comply with BRF Sustainability Policy guidelines, ensure adherence to BRF Sustainability Plan through activities in its routines that promotes compliance with the indicators and global ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments of the Company, ensuring the connection between its actions and sustainable development in the BRF chain.
What kind of profile are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Business proficiency in English and Arabic is an advantage
- Knowledge of laboratory test methods, including AOAC and APHA, and Good Laboratory Practices
- Knowledge of production processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- SAP knowledge is preferred
- Based in Jeddah or open to relocating to Jeddah
