Job Description

Support Global Sourcing activities in China, based in Shanghai, by identifying, mapping, pre-qualifying and developing Chinese suppliers with potential to meet MBRF global requirements, especially in Brazil, Türkiye and MENA, under the direction of leadership and regional category owners.

The position performs market analysis and supplier scouting, prepares and supports RFQ/RFP processes, and follows up on technical validation, negotiation, contracting, onboarding, go-live and initial supplier performance, in accordance with established sourcing, homologation, risk management and value creation guidelines and approval criteria.

The role also provides analysis, data and recommendations to support short-, mid- and long-term strategies for the categories served, including Services, Direct Materials, Indirect Materials, Packaging, Ingredients, MRO and other categories relevant to industrial operations, contributing to cost competitiveness, specification adherence, quality, safety and supply continuity.

Governance Note

The role must collaborate with regional negotiators, specialists and key stakeholders by providing analysis and executing assigned activities to support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies. Commercial recommendations, supplier approvals and contracting decisions follow applicable authority levels and governance.

Academic Background

• Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain or related background.
• MCIPS, postgraduate degree, MBA or certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain or International Trade are advantages.

Desirable requirements

• Advanced or fluent English.
• Native or fluent Mandarin.
• Portuguese is an advantage for direct interaction with Brazil.

Experience

• 4 to 6 years of experience in Procurement, Global Sourcing, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain or supplier development.
• 2 to 3 years of experience negotiating services, direct and indirect material categories, preferably in the food industry or industrial operations.
• Practical experience in Global Sourcing from China or supporting international operations.
• Experience with Chinese suppliers or professional exposure to the Chinese market.
• Experience in RFQ/RFP processes, bid analysis, negotiation, supplier qualification and supplier development.
• Experience with ingredients (food & feed), direct materials, packaging, indirect materials, equipment, MRO or categories relevant to industrial operations.
• Experience in a multinational environment or supporting multiple regions is highly desirable.
• Experience with homologation, audit, certification or technical validation processes is an advantage.
